ELL
The ELL Department supports students whose home language is not English by providing tailored instruction, guidance, and resources to help them grow in English language proficiency and succeed academically and socially. Using assessments and annual reviews, students are placed in direct or indirect support streams, those in direct placement, take dedicated ELL courses (e.g. reading, writing, academic language), while those in indirect placement receive support through classroom adaptations and collaboration with teachers. The department is committed to fostering linguistic confidence and full engagement in the school community, guiding each learner on their journey toward achieving their goals.
