Concert Band Revue takes centre stage at the Bell Performing Arts Centre

Thirty-one ensembles from 黄色视频 and beyond put on amazing performances last week during the Grade 9-12 Concert Band Revue at the , an annual non-competitive showcase of musical talent for secondary students.
More than 1,100 students from 16 secondary schools performed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for a pair of adjudicators, as well as audiences of parents and staff. The revue featured music from students at École Earl Marriott, Enver Creek, Fleetwood Park, Frank Hurt, Fraser Heights, Grandview Heights, Guildford Park, Johnston Heights, École Kwantlen Park, L.A. Matheson, Lord Tweedsmuir, North Surrey, Princess Margaret, Sullivan Heights and Tamanawis secondary schools, as well as one independent school, Holy Cross Regional High School.
This year’s performances were adjudicated by John White, a retired music director with several decades of experience across Canada, as well as a former performing arts coordinator and band teacher with the Langley, Burnaby, Coquitlam and Kamloops school districts. Also an accomplished instrumental and choral adjudicator, White shared valuable insight and critiques after each band’s performances.
Looking ahead to the new year, the district will be hosting many more music and performance events at the Bell Performing Arts Centre before the end of the school year, including:
